Thanks for being an early user of an AI Email Assistant! This is a prototype from the LangChain team for creating an AI agent to manage your email. You should think of this as an “AI Executive Assistant”. This is still a prototype, and so is free to use. This only works with Google. Since this is a beta prototype, there is no guarantee that we will continue running this. This project is open sourced, if you would rather run it yourself you can do so here.
What does this AI agent do?
- Only works with Google
- Triages emails into “ignore”, “notify”, or “respond”
- “ignore” - marks it as read
- “notify” - will notify you, but not try to draft a response
- “respond” - will attempt to draft a response
- Can check your calendar
- Can schedule calendar events (you need to approve them before they are finalized)
- Can send emails (you need to approve them before they are finalized)
Set up account with LangChain Agents Agency
This will set you up with an account with “LangChain Agents Agency”, a program through which you can hire AI agents.
- Go to https://www.agentinbox.ai/
- Log in with Google (note: this does not need to be the same email as you want to hire an Email Assistant for, this is just your account for LangChain Agents Agency)
How to hire your AI Email Assistant
- Click “Settings” in bottom left
- Click “Create Assistant”
- Give your EA background information on yourself and instructions on how to respond
- Click “Authorize”
- This will generate a link - click it to open a new window
- You will see a sign in screen for something called “Arcade”. This is a provider we use for auth
- Give all the required permissions to Arcade
- Note: if you want to remove these at any point, you can do so by going here: https://myaccount.google.com/connections
Done! Your EA should now be hired.
