LangChain was founded in early 2023 to help developers build context-aware reasoning applications. LangChain, open source software, is a framework that gives developers the building blocks to create production-ready applications with LLMs. LangSmith complements our open-source software as an all-in-one SaaS platform that enables a full, end-to-end, development workflow for building LangChain and LLM-powered apps. We’re a small team making an outsized impact (~5M monthly downloads and ~30k applications powered).

About the role

We’re looking to add a core maintainer to the LangChain team. This person would be responsible for maintaining and improving the LangChain Python and/or JS packages. In-person in SF preferred.

In this role, you’re a good fit if:

• You’re a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer (with a strong software engineering background) at FAANG or a large private company.
• Can thrive in a fast-moving environment. Views unstructured environments as an opportunity to figure out the most impactful work and define the future success of the company
• An enthusiasm about experimentation, feedback, and learning.
• Ownership-minded. You don’t need a manager’s gaze or company process to get your work done.
• Minimum experience of 3 years
• Bonus if familiar with LangChain, building with LLMs, or other orchestration frameworks
• Bonus if you’ve contributed to our open source project.
